Sending Email

Job Pointer has a simple built-in email program so you can email bookmarks to people without leaving JP or to send someone a quick message without launching your full-blown email client program. You do need to configure Job Pointer to send email in the Options before you can use this feature.

If you are experienced with email you probably don't need the explanations found here.

Enter the email address of the person you are sending to in the To: field.

JP will remember the email addresses of the people you send messages to after you have entered them once. Each time you enter a new address, it is kept in a list. You can access the list with the pull-down menu at the left of the To: entry field. There is a Remove Address button that allows you to remove an address from the list of remembered addresses; select the address so it appears in the To: field then click the button.

Enter the subject of your email in the Subject: field. Then enter the text for your message in the main text entry box.

Once you are finished, click the Send button to send the message.

If you change your mind after you click the Send button, you can cancel the message if JP hasn't connected to your mail server and sent the message data yet. The Close button simply closes the email composition window.
